The Dalmore, founded in 1839, is a Highland distillery long known for a rich, fruit-forward style with a sweet sherried character. Dalmore 12 Year Old has served for many years as one of the distillery’s signature expressions, and older bottlings are especially interesting because changes in label wording and bottle design help show the evolution of the brand over time. The current Dalmore 12 is still officially described as a whisky shaped by Oloroso sherry casks and rich fruit character.

This bottle is an older Pure Malt version of Dalmore 12 Year Old, positioned before the later Single Highland Malt labeled releases.
